Active and Passive verbs

For example, the sentence

"I closed the door."
(subject) (verb) (object)
(doer) (receiver)
contains an active verb.

"I" is the subject and "closed" is the verb,

"the door" is the object.

Another example for passive verb.

"The door was closed."
(subject) (verb)
"The door" is the subject and "was closed" is the verb.

PASSIVE verb: 1. No doer
2. Active object becomes passive subject
3. Active verb becomes : be + past participle
